It's already possible to do it (although not obvious at all). Just go to
Preferences/DDT/Editor/Content Assist and put the 
".abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ" string in the
Auto activation trigger characters field.

(It works for JDT too)
