Beerconf August?

So I went to think about posting an announcement for beerconf in 
August. But looking at the calendar...

The "normal" dates would be August 29-30. But this literally is 3 
days before dconf (and real beerconf). The chances we get any 
real participation from people (including myself) is slim.

In 2023 I set it 2 weeks early to give some breathing room 
between it and dconf happening 2 weeks later. That would have 
been... last weekend.

Even doing it this weekend would be both short notice, and only a 
week-ish before dconf.

So I'm leaning towards not doing it this year. We did skip it in 
2024 and 2025.

I just wanted to post about it here to let everyone know. If you 
think we should still have it, state your case!

If not, see many of you in person in a couple weeks!
