The dates for DConf '26 are locked in. We're back at CodeNode in
London, September 2 - 4.
We're now accepting talk submissions until May 24. Find the
details here:
https://dconf.org/2026/index.html
This year, we're hoping to do more lightning talks. If you're
planning to attend and want to do a lightning talk, just email me
at social at dlang.org and let me know. I'll add your name to a
"pending" list until you're registered, at which point I'll add
you to the lightning talk queue. You can sign up any time between
now and the morning of Day Three. We'd like to do three lightning
talk sessions this year, but that requires enough advance signups
for the first day.
Before you ask, no, lightning talk speakers don't receive travel
and lodging reimbursements. But if you have material for a
standard submission, and anyone with a D project certainly does,
an accepted submission means you'll have as much of your travel
and lodging reimbursed as we can afford. We've covered 100%
(basic economy airfare and budget hotel rates) every year so far,
and we're aiming to do it again this year. Just be aware that the
increased costs always bring the possibility of reimbursement
caps.
We have first-time speakers every year. If you've never spoken at
DConf or any conference, don't let that stop you. We want your
submission!
I expect to open registration by the end of the month. Keep an
eye out here for the announcement.
There's no Hackathon this year. Given the increased costs across
the board, it's hard to justify the expense this time around.
See you in London!
