it is possible to influence the occurance of the error by
reducing the size of 
the statement ...auto perlreg = new
screg!("/(?:(?<tok>\\#(?:.*?(?:"~eol~")|.*\\z))|
(?<tok>\"(?:(?>\\\\\\\\|\\\\\"|.))*?\")|

when parameter is smaller, the error does not occur.
