Summary: Hole in type system still present for delegates
Product: D
Version: D2
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Keywords: accepts-invalid
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: DMD
AssignedTo: nobody at puremagic.com
ReportedBy: timon.gehr at gmx.ch
--- Comment #0 from timon.gehr at gmx.ch 2012-01-02 11:33:08 PST ---
For example:
void main() {
void delegate()@system x = {writeln("I am @system");};
void delegate()@safe y = {};
auto px = &x;
auto py = &y;
px = py; // accepts-invalid
*px = x;
y(); // "I am @system"
}
The equivalent example with function pointers already results in a compile
error.
