Last post had an error in the code.  Use this instead.

/********** test.d ***************/
module test;

class TestClass
{
    private this() {}

    uint value;
}



/************ main.d **************/
void main()
{
    test.TestClass x; // <---  This should result in a compile-time error
    x.value = 10;     // <---  Runtime error. 
}
