Hmm a beta can always be downloaded with:

curl -fsS https://dlang.org/install.sh | bash -s dmd-beta

(same for dmd-nightly)

I think at the moment the policy is that betas are mere "preview" builds and
are not officially released. Only the point releases are, e.g:

http://dlang.org/changelog/2.072.1.html

So I am closing this as invalid, but feel free to reopen if you disagree or
sth. like this happens again ;-)
