GDC on Mac - math linker errors for do-nothing program

I sent you test.out and ktrace.out.

By the way, I should mention that my system isn't quite the same as
yours. I'm not running OS X 10.3.9; I think it's 10.3.0 (all the version
numbers I can find just say "10.3"). I suppose upgrading would be a good
idea...
