Yeah I've been itching to try Tango on a project where I run into these 
things.  I get the feeling it uses templates to sidestep the whole 
char[]/wchar[]/dchar[] crap.  Then I'd be able to just use dchar[] all 
the time and thus get my random indexing.  Computers like working with 
32 bit wide things anyways.  So yeah, I've been convinced of this for a 
year, but that's also been the year when I haven't done much coding.
