A bit more detailed manual setup is documented in vibe.d github
repository manual : https://github.com/rejectedsoftware/vibe.d
Most likely, you need to install libevent and openssl to fix
linking errors.
What is the way you have installed vibe.d with? `dub` package
manager is usually considered default and most user-friendly
approach and it should take care of dependencies. There is also
an AUR package for Arch Linux (don't know about other distros)
