Survey - what language are you coming from?

Life took me along this twisty road:

#                          ,-> C -> Python <
# BASIC/1a -> C++ -> Java <                 `-> Ruby
#                          `-> PHP

Ack!  (I left out some things...)

I guess I'd claim C/C++, though.  And I'm now perfectly happy with D and Ruby.  (Now just 
to get the two of them playing along together...)
