I thought about it.  I thought "gee that would be nice."

If it's going to happen in the near term I suspect it would be via the 
GDC branch, because I think gcc already has some OpenMP support.  It 
would just be a matter of exposing an interface to it via pragmas or 
whatever.

Walter's a compiler writin' foo', be even he can't hope to keep up with 
the million monkeys banging away at gcc.  :-)
