Yup.  As a point of interest for those who don't know (and to drift 
wildly off-topic), Romanian is one of the romance languages, all of 
which derive from Latin by definition.  I am sure that Andrei could 
recant a great deal more about Romanian history than I can, but the 
little I know is quite interesting.  It's well worth looking into for 
anyone interested in the propagation of language, culture, etc.
