Could you be clearer? I don't know what "macro expansion text" means.
Is that the same thing as ddoc source? If so, then you just said "the
output is controlled by the input", which is obvious, but incomplete.
If not, then what is this "macro expansion text" of which you speak?
Coz, if the "macro expansion text" is what decides how to make HTML,
then this "macro expansion text" is the thing that should be escaping
that which needs to be escaped.
