dmd can read command lines from a file with the:

     dmd @command.txt

syntax. There is no limit to the command line length this way. Also, dmd can 
read command lines from an environment variable using:

     dmd @COMMAND

These can be arbitrarily combined with other switches:

     dmd -inline @command.txt -release @COMMAND
