Could we use something better than zip for the dmd package?

In addition, some people don't have rights to install new software on
their system or bring it from home on an USB stick. I don't think
there's anything wrong in using .zip even if it's larger than .7z.
But it can't be hard to change the deploy script to pack both .zip and
.7z, and at the same time make archives for specific OSs, right?
