It's funny, I thought about the usage of D for smart phones just the other  
day.

Johannes Pfau recently managed to build gdc as an ARM cross-compiler, see  
the D.gnu newsgroup.
So it IS possible to compile ARM code with D but since this hasn't really  
been used by anyone so far, you're on an unpaved road.
