std.log's unittest don't pass at the moment because of a bug in
druntime. It has been a while but it has something to do with how we
are calling the per process and per thread module constructors.
I convinced that it will be another year before we get a chance to fix
that bug so I have been thinking of removing this requirement from
std.log but I have't had much time to play around with it.
