I have no issue with that, just with your conclusion that it's file reading 
that's slow. It's not supported by your data.

Benchmarking is not so easy, I've very often seen benchmarks purporting to 
measure X when they were actually measuring Y.

The scientific jargon for this is "isolating the variables".
