Yeah, I don't think anyone disagrees with getting better warning 
and error messages. Static analysis rocks.

Anyways I just want to point out that this isn't what's being 
proposed, so it's kind of off topic. It's not an argument either 
for or against the proposal, just in case that wasn't clear.
