My biggest issue with DDOC compared to popular stuff like 
Markdown / ReStructured Text : it doesn't look nice as a source. 
Markdown is so cute because it mimics the style of ASCII-based 
text file formatting. DDOC is naturally very verbose because of 
all $(MACRO stuff) and lack of basic primitives for most common 
needs.

I don't feel like any small change in DDOC will make me like/use 
it.
