Why don't we all focus our efforts on upgrading the current GC to 
a state-of-the GC making use of D's strongly typed memory model 
before discussing these things?

Potentially with the help of escape analysis, which could be made 
part of this effort, automatically avoiding the GC seems like the 
wisest choice in the long run.

AFAIK there has been quite a lot of efforts done here already by 
various persons.
