SceneKit transition to Metal, comparing it with OpenGL ES,

Metal is now the default renderer for SceneKit, OpenGL needs to 
be opted-in.

Starting at 00:06:40, game engines support and OpenGL replacement 
on the graphics stack (00:07:20).

Then you can watch how a few known companies in the industry 
praise Apple for Metal and how they replaced their OpenGL stack 
with Metal.
