dmd.conf no longer working?

Tried both of them, nothing works. Also, the preexisting dmd on ubuntu 
fails like this:

dmd: inifile.c:141: void writeToEnv(StringTable*, char*): Assertion `p' 
failed.

Could this be a problem with my environment?
