Installing the official (ldc) release doesn't cause the problem, 
so presumably this is a problem with the Debian buster release.  
However, I notice the official dub reports as version 1.6.0 built 
on 6 Jan, whereas the official ldc is 1.7.0 and the Debian dub 
is, as mentioned before, 1.7.0-2, and the Debian ldc2 says it's 
version 1.5.0, based on DMD 2.075.1, i.e., the version numbers 
are confusing to say the least.
