Weird forum web interface behavior

Looking at the General forum just now, I noticed that for 
Walter's "Avoiding code smells" thread, last post is reported as 
made by Walter 6 hours ago:

And yet, when clicking that last post link, his post appears at 
the top, but there are obviously more posts made after that:

What gives?
