Fonts and Fonts: While some experts argue that these terms mean
two different things, modern usage is synonymous. In web context,
a font or font is a set of letters, symbols and punctuation marks
of a similar design and packed together into a single computer
file.
Font family: A font family includes many different fonts that are
similar except for stroke thickness and italics. If you plan to
use normal, bold and italicized fonts, include at least three
fonts or fonts for each font family you intend to use.
Typography: A broad term covering font choices as well as topics
such as color, size, character spacing, line drawing and
alignment. Web typography is the discipline of designing text for
web presentation.
