It's for clarity, ease of use and the purpose not naming things
inconsistently.
It's like the ridiculous USB speeds. Low Speed, Full Speed, High
Speed, SuperSpeed, SuperSpeed+. Now, tell me what throughput
speed these names correspond to, without looking it up on the
internet.
