Is it time for a unicode update of std.uni?

Since this thing isn't easy and I expect it to take some time until 
it's done and it only makes sense if it's finished and not half-baked, 
I can imagine to sponsor this effort.

Not sure how such a sponsoring would go off, nor if there is someone 
interested & capable to do it. Anyone?
