Gotchas like that are harmful but well-known, and the knowledge 
in our days spreads fast thanks to the internets. I believe an 
average C++ programmer today is less likely to make that mistake. 
On the other hand, we don't know how much harm the lack of 
unsigned types has caused. To claim that it is less harmful would 
be a case of survivorship bias.
