Why D is not a popular language?

The answers in the learn forum are usually of very high quality 
indeed, but it would be even better with a topical index so that 
finding old answers would be easier.

Doesn't have to be on SO, it could be embedded in dlang.org.

I suspect many newbies are unaware of the existence of a learn 
forum...
