It’s not as simple as just the terminology. The way they explain 
it, slices are no different to reference types like classes and 
AAs. The issue being that slices are a black sheep among that 
flock because they are more than just a pointer.
Irritatingly, the spec really leans towards this conflation, but 
at least never really says it outright.
