But with respect to the question "Should AI-written contributions 
to D Language Foundation projects be accepted" the intellectual 
property rights laws are really all that matters. From a legal 
perspective, it's hard to see how the D compiler wouldn't be a 
derivative of GPL code, since those models were trained on GPL 
code. Most likely proprietary code and code that didn't have a 
license too. The counterargument would be that the risk of being 
sued is low, that there would be limited damages since this is 
not a for-profit company, etc.
