wiki.dlang.org: How about replacing MediaWiki with a Git repo?

Excuse me, but you’re saying it’s “the worst possible idea” 
because of a made-up scenario of yours, aren’t you?

You might want to check out how the repos of Phobos or dlang.org 
are maintained these days. As long as contributors appear to be 
acting in good faith and keep that tick for maintainer edits on, 
they might even have their PRs rebased, fixed or bumped for CI 
reruns by maintainers these days.

Sure, there are people who don’t like that, but they can untick 
that box. And, after all, they are only one `git push -f` away 
from restoring their local state.

I don’t think folks want to use the built-in wiki of GitHub. At 
least, I don’t do so.

I’m pretty sure we can all agree to keep the current wiki up as 
long as there’s no approved alternative to it.
