hi! yep, I use AI heavily. I'm a doomer as well fwiw, so I'm by 
no means uncritical about AI. But programming has *always* been 
the art of getting done as much as possible with the least 
possible effort. AI simply continues the trend.

Fwiw, despite using AI very heavily in private, my D code at work 
is still largely written manually. The more local context and 
insight is required, the more current AI struggles. Maybe next 
year we'll have local online learning... :)

(Also yes, it's a trip that Claude knows boilerplate/serialized. 
The case for open-sourcing internal corporate code has never been 
stronger.)
