I think nobody will even blink an eye unfortunately.

Regarding the community - I think it is weak argument.
Yes, it is true that popular languages have maybe more "normal" 
distribution with the level of competence..
But you can join sub-groups. And these sub-groups could have 
extremely high level of the community.
