EPL and GPL are not compatible. Have a look at: http://dev.eclipse.org/blogs/mike/2010/04/06/epl-gpl-commentary/
Everything that is link with GPL needs to GPL as well. But has the link says there are ways around it. On the otherhand, I just remembered that the DMD frontend is licensed under the Artistic License.
