Dear god, we've sent Walter back in time about 10 years. The poor guy.
(and it really sucks that it took me two emails to recognize it. I blame
work distracting me. And since it's work, I'll blame perl. First time in
several years I've had to work on a block of perl code and it's broken me,
again.)
