I use Thuderbird with no problems.

Tools -> Account Settings -> Add Account -> Newsgroup Account

Your name (what ever)

Your email (put something that spam will not find)

news.digitalmars.com

Right click on the news.digitalmars.com now in thunderbird and go subscribe.
