refcounting is not a big thing, but I am not really sure if there 
is a clean way to do it with the current infrastructure.

I am pretty sure that someone would do it if there was a clean 
design for it.

Yes, Phobos is too much like Tango. :-/ So I've started writing 
my own... :-P
