Interesting. I'm on the fence on if I should pick up C++ again or 
not.

But the sad truth is that there still is really not an 
alternative when it comes to embedded, especially not regarding 
functional safety :´(

But, to use C++ for "normal" stuff seems just like torture. Why 
do it when you have D or C# or some sane language ;)
