Why is D unpopular?

By inconsistent, do you mean the syntax?

I am a bit surprised by this as D has the classic OOP mechanisms. 
What OOP features are you missing?

The type system is a bit weak, like C, so I get what you are 
saying, but then I wonder what C# features you appreciate the 
most?
