Does D have any political goals?

This was an interesting thread/discussion, I appreciate 
everyone's inputs on this.

I think IDE support for D is good but there is definitely more 
room for improvement in some spaces. I'm currently using the D 
plugin for IntelliJ, and as a newcomer I faced quite a lot of 
bugs with it (it's also missing some more fundamental features 
that you'd see in other language plugins), although it does the 
job well most of the time. Not sure how good the plugins are for 
other IDEs as I only use IntelliJ.
