[Greylist-users] Database performance

Some stats on our site (all numbers approximate):

13,000 mailboxes
21,000 total addressable user aliases (excluding mailing lists)

300,000 active triples in the greylist db over any given 24 hour
period (last record update)
280,000 triples expire from the greylist db over any given 24 hour period
1,500,000 successful deliveries/day

Lots more connection attempts rejected by TCPwrappers and various
throttling limits in sendmail

Over the past 15 days we're seeing average loads of 489 Kbps of port
25 traffic inbound on our Internet border. During the worm outbreaks
in November and December we were averaging 1.14 Mbps, peaking at
about 3.2 Mbps worth of SMTP crossing our Internet border.

Hope this helps.
