Ah.  Thanks for the info.  I was hoping to have some kind of GUI library 
that abstracts all of that sort of stuff, so I don't have to rewrite 
code between platforms.  I may end up just writing my own very 
specialized GUI subsystem due to the lack of such a library, and will 
have to deal with that rewriting.
