Uncle bob is functionally a con artist.

Demand does not imply competence in the sellsmen, cocaine cough 
drops for children sold for decades presumably people wanted 
their children to be healthy, no one would pick a random decade 
in 1800s and blindly take their cures.

Industry's that changes their mind every decade should be treated 
as such.
