I believe its fundamentally impossible to have an ai write a good 
skill

Your original prompt for that skill is such and such vector in 
the word field; either the ai can walk that vector field to a 
useful place or it cant. Even in the case the skill is useful 
your original prompt was likely smaller and by virtue of your 
prompt generating it from a one-way process of ai "thinking", was 
part of a greater connected component of useful thought-vectors
